About Sim Central

Sim Central is a Star Trek roleplay and collaborative writing server for fans who want to build stories together rather than alone. Members create and develop original characters within the Trek setting, contribute to ongoing narratives, and help shape the direction of shared plotlines. The server is built around the idea that writing is more rewarding when it's a group effort—your character's choices affect other characters, and other writers' ideas shape what happens to yours.

The community welcomes writers at any experience level. Newcomers and seasoned writers work side by side, which means you're not expected to arrive fully formed as a roleplayer or to know all the Trek lore. The space is explicitly inclusive and non-judgmental about skill level or background. Members get to know each other on a personal level too, so it functions as a writing group and a social space at once.
