Music Geek

Music Geek is a Discord server built around active music listening and discussion. Members participate in structured activities designed to expose them to new albums and artists while building conversation around what they hear.

The core activity is the Album Exchange, a weekly pairing where two members swap an album, listen through it, and discuss their thoughts. Aux Battles pit members against each other in a song-sharing competition judged by the audience. Listening parties happen around new and notable releases, both official drops and member-hosted picks. There's also a digital newspaper channel where members flag upcoming releases and talk about them before they land. If you make music yourself, you can share it here too, the server's explicit focus is on shared listening and discovery, not self-promotion.

It's for people who want to talk seriously about albums, find stuff outside their usual rotation, and hear what other listeners think about records they care about.
