Library in Progress
About Library in Progress
Library in Progress is a writing community where members at any level share work in progress, get feedback, and write alongside each other. The server is built around the idea that writing is less lonely and more rewarding when you have people who understand it.
The core of the server is monthly writing challenges that give members concrete projects to work on. Members post excerpts, ask for specific critique, share their progress, and celebrate when they finish something. The community skews toward long-form fiction and poetry, but the focus is on getting words written and workshopped rather than gatekeeping genre or style.
The server runs an annual March to Mordor challenge—a 50k writing sprint inspired by NaNoWiMo. It's the main event of the year and draws the most activity. Beyond that, the rhythm depends on what members are working on. You'll find channels for sharing drafts, asking craft questions, discussing books, and general writing talk. The appeal is straightforward: if you write and want feedback from people who also write, and want to show up for other writers doing the same, this is where you do that.
