About Egypt's Lounge

Egypt's Lounge is a social server for atheists, freethinkers, ex-Muslims, and LGBTQ+ members from Egypt and beyond. It's built as a space where people can speak freely about their beliefs, identities, and experiences without pretense or constraint.

The server is for anyone who's left religion, questioned it, or simply doesn't fit the religious or social norms of their background. You'll find members discussing philosophy and theology, sharing creative writing, venting about personal struggles, swapping memes, or just hanging out and talking. Mental health and lived experience matter here — the server acknowledges that many members have complex histories and need room to process them.

Respect and self-expression are the stated principles. There's no preset agenda beyond creating a place where people like this can exist without the weight of having to defend who they are.
