Écho is a French-learning community built around active practice and immersion. It serves learners at all levels from A1 through C2, whether you're starting from scratch or refining advanced fluency.

The server centers on real conversation and skill-building. Members use 24/7 voice channels to practice speaking, pair up in language tandems for one-on-one exchanges, and receive live corrections from the community. Resources are organised by proficiency level and include guides, interactive exercises, and Anki decks structured around CEFR competencies — listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Built-in tools like /translate, /tts, and /wiki provide quick support during practice.

The community runs regular events including dictations, quizzes, and writing workshops, with a gamification system using coins and achievement tracking to sustain engagement. Moderation is human-led and the ethos is collaborative rather than competitive, which matters if you want to learn without feeling rushed or judged.
