Caveton runs multiple Minecraft modes—SMP, PvP, strategy, and roleplay—so members pick their playstyle. Voice channels are central to the community; most socializing and coordination happens there. The server is 18+, not NSFW, and skews toward gaming and nerd culture.

The community has accumulated real history and lore over time. New members are expected to learn the existing culture and context. Members have input on how the server evolves.
