California State is a written roleplay server built around realistic factions and civilian life in California. The server's main structure revolves around government and military roles—primarily the U.S. Army with access to vehicles and weapons—alongside law enforcement like LAPD and FBI, firefighting, and other official agencies. On the criminal side, there are cartel and street gang factions available for players interested in that angle. If neither appeals to you, the server also supports civilian jobs: bartender, mechanic, taxi driver, nurse, journalist, influencer, and others.

Members roleplay across multiple locations including parks, streets, plazas, rivers, and mountains. The server emphasises written roleplay with realistic consequences for actions, though it tries to balance immersion with fun rather than leaning entirely into grinding detail. You can also propose and build your own faction if the existing structure doesn't fit your character idea.
